Minty Peanut Butter Dog Treats

Ok, 'minty' peanut butter dog treats may not sound that great to us...but your dog will love them and they will give him fresh breath!  It's a win win!

Easy Peasy Recipe

This recipe is super easy and quick, you'll have these fun little treats whipped up in no time.

You only need a few ingredients and it doesn't require dog shaped cookie cutters, even though we had some...so, why not use them!

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour (additional for rolling)
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/3 cup smooth peanut butter
  • 2-3 drops peppermint essential oil
  • 1 1/4 cups hot water

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.  Mix the dry ingredients together.  After mixing peanut butter and water together blend it into the dry mixture.  Roll out the dough to 1/4" thickness and use a cookie cutter to cut shapes.  Bake on a lightly greased cookie sheet for up to 40 minutes.

Cool on a cookie rack before serving to your pups!

Our older girl is missing her teeth, so serving her the uncooked dough is perfectly safe because there are no eggs in the recipe.  She loves it and your dog will too.
